SMS notifications

This page describes the text messages the GodBrowser Alerts programme sends, who receives them, how you opt in and out, and what they cost. It is the single description of the programme; the Privacy Policy (Section 5b) and the Terms of Service (Section 5b) refer here.

What we send

This programme sends one-time sign-in codes and account notifications. A sign-in code is a 6-digit code, sent when you create a GodBrowser account with your mobile number, or sign in to an account whose number is not yet verified, and ask for a code. Each code expires after 10 minutes. Example:

GodBrowser: Your login code is 482193. It expires in 10 minutes. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help.

These messages are transactional. An account notification is a message about your own GodBrowser account — for example a notice about your account balance or a payment — sent only to the number on that account, never promotional. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages through this programme, and there is no marketing opt-in anywhere in the product.

Who receives messages

Only account holders who entered their own mobile number when creating a GodBrowser account at portal.godbrowser.io/register. We never add a number that was not given to us by its owner, and we do not buy or rent phone number lists.

Consent is optional

Providing a mobile number is not a condition of creating an account, of any purchase, or of using the service. On the registration page you choose how to create the account — Email or Phone (SMS). Choosing Email creates the account with no phone number and no SMS; the sign-in code is sent to your email address instead. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

If you choose Phone (SMS), the following wording is shown directly beneath the phone field, and entering your number and continuing is your consent:

"By adding your number you agree to receive one-time sign-in codes and account notifications from GodBrowser by SMS. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms."

Message frequency

Message frequency varies. A code is sent only when you ask for one — when you create an account with your number, when you request that the code be sent again, or when you sign in to an account whose number is not yet verified. An account notification is sent only when something happens on your account that you need to know about. Nothing is sent on a schedule.

Cost

Msg & data rates may apply. GodBrowser does not charge you for these messages; your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply.

Opting out

Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any message to stop receiving text messages from GodBrowser. Delivery to that number stops immediately and you receive one final confirmation: "You have been unsubscribed from GodBrowser messages. No further messages will be sent. Reply START to resubscribe." Reply START to opt back in.

STOP stops every message from this programme to that number, including sign-in codes. If your number was already verified you continue to sign in with your number and password. If it was not yet verified, the verification code cannot reach you — create the account with your email address instead, or contact us. To remove the number from GodBrowser entirely, delete your account at godbrowser.io/delete-account or write to support@godbrowser.io.

Help

Reply HELP (or INFO) to any message for help; the automatic reply reads "GodBrowser support: support@godbrowser.io. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe." You can also email support@godbrowser.io or use godbrowser.io/support. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy and terms

Your mobile information is not shared. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. In plain words: we do not share, sell, rent, or provide your mobile phone number or your messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and we never treat your consent as something that can be passed to another sender.

Messages are delivered by our SMS delivery subcontractor (processor) in the United States, which transmits each message on our behalf and handles your number and the message content only for that delivery.

Your mobile number and your opt-in are handled as described in the Privacy Policy, Section 5b. Use of the service is governed by the Terms of Service, Section 5b.
